Senior Friends
The motto of St. Ann School is Spirituality, Academics, and Service. Each class at our school lives out the element of service in some way. For our 8th graders that service is a special project called Senior Friends.
The class is divided into groups and each group, once a month, bring lunch to one of our parish's senior citizens. They visit with their friend and do chores around their homes. In May the class hosts their Senior Friends at our all school mass followed by a breakfast in the Parish Life Center. The breakfast is their way of thanking not only the parishioners who open their homes to our class, but for the parents who provide the transportation and lunches that make this special endeavor possible.
