5th Grade Religion

Textbook: Christ Our Life: We Worship published by Loyola Press.
The Religion curriculum allows for students to journey together toward a deeper understanding of our Catholic beliefs and traditions. Each grade has its own theme of study.
The focus of the fifth grade curriculum is the Catholic worship. The major areas of study will include:
· The liturgy, including the parts of the Mass, the objects used at Mass, and the liturgical calendar
· An in-depth study of each of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church
· The role of the saints as holy examples
The Religion grade for report cards is 30% homework completion and 70% test scores. First semester and second semester exams will be given in December and May and will be based on tests given during each semester.
Please make sure to keep all tests sent home in the Tuesday folders. Copies of these tests will not be made for students by teachers.
Please check calendar and PowerSchool for quiz, test, and project dates.
